We are based in the United Kingdom. As such, we comply with the United Kingdom's "General Data Protection Regulations" (GDPR). Generally speaking, these regulations are very protective of people's personal information and we entirely approve of them.

As you use the "Mistfarer" Website, we may collect some Personal Information from you. Just in case it needs clarifying, “Personal Information” means information that identifies, relates to, or describes, directly or indirectly, a particular individual, such as: name, address, email address, phone number, etc. 

Although "collecting personal information" sounds ominous, rest assured this is strictly limited to the information that you specifically and willingly provide to us through our interactions. Unless you fill out a "Contact" form, send us an email, or share that information with us during a phone call, video-conference, or in person, we don't know anything about you, we don't keep anything about you, and we are more than happy to keep it that way! 

If you have helped us through this Van's RV-8 build project, we may show our appreciation for your support by adding you to our "Acknowledgement" page. On this page, we may display your first name, initials, and how you helped. The sole aim here is to show gratitude, and enthuse visitors by showcasing the vibrant community that makes building experimental aircraft possible. If you would rather not make it onto that list, please let us know! We aim to inspire and we would absolutely hate for you to feel uncomfortable. Should you ask, we would be absolutely committed to removing your name from the list as quickly as possible. 

Aside from this singular exception, we endeavour not to share any personal information with third-parties. Similarly, should you share some personal information with us and would like this information to be deleted, please tell us by filling in the contact form. We will do our utmost to erase any data related to you from all our computer systems (website, mailbox, or otherwise) in line with your request. 

With that said, please bear in mind that we are bound by the United Kingdom's data protection regulations. As such, there are exceedingly unlikely scenarios in which we might not be able to comply with your request. For example, we might be required by law to share your personal information with the authorities.
